FE fundinfo accelerates investment in Nexus for Financial Advisers, bringing the whole advice journey onto one platform

More than 25 new capabilities are landing by the end of the year, powered by artificial intelligence (AI)

FE fundinfo has confirmed a major new phase of investment in Nexus for Financial Advisers, a unified, AI-powered workflow platform built on the breadth of the company’s data. The aim is straightforward: give advisers one connected platform for the whole advice journey, rather than the patchwork of disconnected systems most firms rely on today. More than 25 new capabilities will land on the platform by the end of the year.

The problem this is solving

Advisers want to spend their time with clients, not managing systems, but rising demand is forcing firms to grow without losing that personal touch. Too much time currently goes into administration, with advisers switching between disconnected tools for meetings, cashflow planning, investment research, suitability, compliance and CRM, re-keying data and losing context along the way.

FE fundinfo’s 2026 Financial Adviser Survey puts a number on that problem: 95% of advisers say they use too many software applications, and half report spending four to six hours a week simply reconciling data between systems. Across a year, that adds up to close to five working weeks lost to admin rather than clients.

Where the investment is going

Nexus for Financial Advisers is designed to close that gap by reimagining the operating model around trusted financial data, giving advisers a layer of insight built directly into the way they already work. Advisers already move between client data, investment research and cashflow planning without switching tools or re-keying data, and practice management is set to follow, extending that same connected experience into firm-level oversight.

For the remainder of 2026, FE fundinfo is investing across four areas: a unified adviser workspace, AI-powered intelligence that builds the client record automatically from meeting conversations, AI-driven report generation including suitability reports, and deeper technology integration across the systems advisers already use.

This autumn brings AI-powered fund research and cashflow modelling, so advisers can run whole-of-market research and model client scenarios without leaving the platform, followed by firm-level compliance reporting that gives principals the same connected oversight advisers already have. Integrations with the most common back-office systems will also land this autumn, so client data moves straight into Nexus without re-keying, alongside a full client profile so every adviser sees one complete record without switching platforms.

The first milestone: Nexus Assistant

Nexus Assistant is already live for more than 1,000 advisers, and is the first major milestone of this accelerated development. It helps advisers prepare for every meeting, captures the conversation, and updates the client record automatically, saving up to three hours per meeting.

AI-generated suitability reporting is next, tackling one of the highest admin friction points advisers face, by connecting the client profile directly to a compliant, evidence-backed report. FE fundinfo says AI outputs are attributed to their source and adviser actions remain auditable, so firms can adopt AI with confidence.

The broader adoption picture supports the investment. According to the same Financial Adviser survey, advisers already using AI are saving more than five hours a week, over 250 hours a year, giving them real capacity to serve more clients, with 51% of AI-using firms reporting these gains through automation and new efficiencies.

What FE fundinfo’s leadership is saying

Liam Healy, CEO at FE fundinfo, argued that advice software has traditionally been assembled piece by piece rather than shaped around the people using it, whether adviser or client. Nexus for Financial Advisers is his answer to that: a single platform that carries an adviser from the first client conversation through to the advice itself, underpinned by AI and by FE fundinfo’s own research and analytics. “This is just the beginning,” he said.

Ishaan Sethi, Head of UK Wealth Products at FE fundinfo, framed the goal in terms of capacity rather than tooling. “Advisers do not want more software, they want more capacity,” he said. His view is that what actually matters is the underlying data an AI feature draws on. In Nexus’s case, that spans client records, cashflow, product performance and cost data across the full advice journey, with each output traceable back to its source so advisers know they can rely on it before acting.
