FE fundinfo’s Nexus for Financial Advisers: what’s new this autumn
95% of advisers say they use too many software applications.
FE fundinfo’s 2026 Financial Adviser Survey also found reconciling data between those systems costs an adviser 192 hours a year. That is around five working weeks that could otherwise go to clients.
Closing that gap is the focus of Nexus for Financial Advisers, FE fundinfo’s AI-powered workflow platform.
One connected advice journey
Nexus for Financial Advisers aims to bring investment research, cashflow planning, client meetings and suitability together in a single workspace.
Think of it as an operating system for financial advice, with no more re-keying. You can move from research to planning to meetings, and even update the client record, without leaving the platform.
AI built into your workflow
Nexus Assistant works across Nexus for Financial Advisers, taking on your most admin-heavy tasks: it briefs you before every meeting, transcribes automatically and drafts follow-ups in your style, ready to send in one click. While some firms are adopting AI faster than others, FE fundinfo’s survey found that advisers using AI save more than five hours a week.
Face-to-face meetings, now connected
In September, a new mobile app for iOS and Android brought Nexus Assistant into in-person meetings. Record a meeting on your phone or tablet and it joins the same workflow as a video call: transcription, structured notes, one-click follow-ups and client data extraction.
“The mobile app means face-to-face meetings will now sit in the same place as everything else I do for a client on Nexus for Financial Advisers, not a separate note I have to catch up on later, but part of the one record I already work from,” said Christian Wynne, Financial Planner at Factor Financial Planning.
Connecting to the CRM you already use
Most recently, FE fundinfo announced deeper connections with the customer relationship management (CRM) systems advice firms already use, starting with intelliflo office. You can now pull intelliflo office data into Nexus for Financial Advisers and send information captured in Nexus for Financial Advisers back into intelliflo office.
What’s next in Nexus for Financial Advisers
We’re developing the platform into a unified adviser workspace, to help drive productivity and deliver compliant, AI-powered insight.
Coming this year and early 2027:
- AI-generated suitability reporting
- Client vulnerability assessment indicators
- AI-powered fund research and cashflow modelling as we bring FE Analytics and FE CashCalc functionality natively into Nexus for Financial Advisers
- A consolidated wealth planning workflow
Continued investment in cashflow planning
Cashflow planning in Nexus for Financial Advisers, known as FE CashCalc, continues to evolve, with a recent focus on gross cashflow functionality. It now covers defined benefit (DB) pension income, salary sacrifice, Capital Gains Tax, survivor analysis and asset transfers, with inheritance tax (IHT) analysis and Monte Carlo stress testing coming soon.
Our focus is on giving advisers one place to do the work, so they spend less time managing systems and more time with their clients.
FE fundinfo already supports more than 3,900 UK advice firms. To find out more or book a demo, visit Nexus for Financial Advisers at fefundinfo.com.
